OFFICE HOURS: MW 1100-1200 (E421-E); MW 2015-2115 (PS231-B).
GRADING POLICY: Midterm (30%), Final Exam (30%) and Term Paper (40%). Attendance and class participation will earn a bonus of 1/3 letter grade (Example: B+ raised to A-).
TERM PAPER: Term paper should be typed, use an appropriate writing style, and have the correct grammar and spelling [content 80%; style and grammar, 20%]. The term paper will have five parts: (1) Introduction, (2) Background, (3) Analysis, (4) Discussion, (5) Conclusions. Topics will be assigned on a first come-first served basis. Topic selection summary (200-300 words long) is due October 9/11 [at 1 pm in GMCS-306]. Term paper (6 pages long) is due December 4/6 [at 1 pm in GMCS-306]. Term paper should be double spaced; stapled, not bound; start on first page.
