HOMEWORK No. 1

  1. Calculate the celerity functions of the dynamic wave (Reproduce Figure).

  2. Use dimensionless wavenumbers varying smoothly between 0.01 and 1000.

  3. Use Froude numbers of 0.01, 0.02, 0.04, 0.1, 0.2, 0.4, 1, 2, 4, and 10.

  4. Plot dimensionless relative wave celerity vs dimensionless wavenumber for the chosen set of Froude numbers. Use logarithmic scales.
