The following is a summary of the committee's comments. The Committee has determined that your student evaluations are well above the departmental average. The majority of the students like your approach to teaching and feel that they have learned a lot from your class. Your rapport with the students is commendable. Most students enjoyed your class, graded you as first rate, and would recommend it to others. However, a small minority of students had some negative comments to make. The Committee urges you review your student evaluations and to act effectively on the issues that have been raised by some. The Committee feels that the mixed reviews are an indication of latent problems with your teaching style, organization, or approach. The Committee wishes to state that the verbatim comments, which are an intrinsic part of the student evaluation, were not part of the record presented to it.
