The Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering (CCEE) at San Diego State University (SDSU) invites applications for an open faculty position in Hydraulic, Hydrologic, and/or Water Resources Engineering, effective Fall 2014. The position is a tenure-track appointment with teaching, research, and service responsibilities, to be filled at a rank of assistant professor. However, in exceptional cases, an appointment at the associate professor level may be considered.

The successful candidate will have exceptional academic promise and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and research. B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering are required. Promising candidates must endorse SDSU's teacher-scholar model, and show that they can successfully contribute to the department's teaching and research programs, including undergraduate and graduate instruction and extramurally funded research.

The Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering has twelve (12) faculty members with specialties in construction, environmental, geotechnical, structural, transportation, and water resources engineering. The Department offers B.S. degrees in civil, environmental, and construction engineering, an M.S. degree, and a joint Ph.D. degree with the University of California at San Diego.
