    PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: TEACHING (LAST 5 YEARS)

  • Continued to maintain and improve the website http://ponce.sdsu.edu, created in 1999. This website, with 13,000+ links, may well be the largest personal academic website in U.S. academia.
  • Developed 129 scripts for free online hydraulic and hydrologic calculations; a first on a worldwide basis.
  • Developed the series of videos Engineering Hydrology, a collection of 40 videos for teaching Engineering Hydrology online.
  • Developed the series of videos Open Channel, a collection of 35 videos for teaching Open-channel Hydraulics online.
  • Developed 60 other online videos for specialized applications.
  • Taught a new preparation for a graduate course: Sedimentation and River Engineering, CIVE 638. The course was taught Fall 2012, wirth an enrollment of 11 students.
