I am pleased to recommend Mr. VENKAT GUMMADI, who is applying for admission to the Joint Doctoral Program in Engineering Sciences/Applied Mathematics.
I have known Mr. Gummadi as a student in my graduate classes (three classes), from 2006 to 2008. Mr. Gummadi has impressed me as a serious and dedicated student. He got A's in all three classes. He has an unusual mix of clear intelligence, determination and sociability, which should help him in his academic and other endeavors. I am sure that he will perform diligently at the doctoral level, and that he will be able to succeed in his graduate studies. I would place him in the upper 2% of his peers.
