Consular Officer
Dear Sir/Madam: This letter is in support of Flor Perez's application for an F-1 visa to pursue her educational goals at San Diego Mesa College. I am Flor's sponsor while she remains in F-1 visa status in the United States. I am a professor of civil and environmental engineering.at San Diego State University. I have been employed by San Diego State continuously for the past 28 years, and my current monthly salary is $8909, for a total yearly of $106,908. This information can be verified by calling my employer at 619-594-6072. I have known Flor Perez for several years, and am sponsoring her while she studies in the United States. I have offered her room and board, and have committed to pay for her direct school expenses, which consist of out-of-state tuition and books. This amounts to $6,000 per year, or $500 per month. My wife and I have owned our house at 13386 Samantha Ave, San Diego, for the past 28 years. This property is worth approximately $550,000. In addition, we have personal property in the amount of $200,000, including three cars and furniture. As established professional people, we have a good credit rating and history. We are committed to helping our friend Flor pursue her educational goals in the United States. Our financial resources are very stable, and ample for this purpose. The amount that would be allocated to Flor's education is a very small fraction of our financial resources. Flor has gotten a letter of support from Adrienne Aeria Dines, the International Student Advisor at Mesa College. Mesa College has issued certification that Flor is enrolled this Spring Semester, and has paid her tuition ($2,400). Please call me at 619-594-4029 (work) or 858-484-2485 (after hours) or if you need additional information regarding our commitment to support Flor Perez.
Sincerely yours,
Victor M. Ponce
