U.S. Consulate
Dear Sirs: This letter is written on behalf of FLOR PEREZ, who is applying for an F-1 student visa to study for an Associate degree at San Diego Mesa College, through December 31, 2010. Ms. PEREZ has been admitted to Mesa College, and issued an I-20 form. She has shown to the admissions officers at Mesa to be qualified for admission. Additionally, she has shown that she has the financial resources to pursue her education. I am FLOR PEREZ's sponsor. I will pay her expenses while she is pursuing her education. The expenses amount to a minimum of $24,000 per year, which cover school-related and other living expenses. As her sponsor, I will pay any and all costs necessary to make sure that she is able to pursue her educational goals. This includes, but is not limited to, college fees, room and board, books, miscellaneous, and other incidental expenses, including transportation, fuel, and car maintenance and repairs. Please find enclosed a copy of a current bank statement, showing a monthly take-home income (direct deposit) of $4,687. Also enclosed is a copy of my 2007 income tax return, which shows a combined family income of $122,300. This amount includes my annual income ($102,000), my wife Jane's income ($40,000), and excludes a nontaxable portion ($20,000, a TIIA-CREF IRA). Please let me know (858-484-2485) if you need more information regarding our sponsorship of Ms. PEREZ to help her achieve her educational goals.
Sincerely yours,
