This letter is in support of
MS. JANAINA APARECIDA DA SILVA, who is applying for a Social Security number.
Janaina is an international student who has been admitted to pursue an M.S. in civil engineering
at SDSU for Fall 2018.
Janaina has been appointed a graduate research assistant (GRA) in my laboratory, the VISUALAB,
effective August 20, 2018.
Her total compensation as a GRA will cover all her expenses, including
tuition, fees, room and board, and travel to/from
her native country (Brazil).
Janaina's course of study will span two academic years, or the time
that it takes her to complete her M.S. degree, estimated at 2.0 to 2.5 years.
